Traffic Engineering Analysis & Permitting

File and procure access/driveway permits from State and County jurisdictional agencies.

Prepare Traffic Impact Analyses to assess development related impacts on the surrounding roadway networks, including residential, office, industrial/distribution uses, discount clubs, fuel stations, convenience stores, fast-food restaurants, banks, institutional and medical facilities.

Prepare analyses in accordance with the latest edition of the Highway Capacity Manual utilizing the computerized Highway Capacity Software, and the latest versions of the Synchro/SimTraffic traffic network simulation software.

Analyze existing and proposed land uses to determine trip generation characteristics based on independent variables from both ITE’s (Institute of Transportation Engineers) national database as well as in-house research.

Conduct turnover, demand, layout, and shared parking analyses. Prepare justification analyses for parking and loading zone ordinance variances. Determine parking generation rates for specific land uses.

Prepare analysis in accordance with the latest edition of the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Determine if existing or proposed traffic conditions warrant the installation of a traffic signal.

Analysis and design for fast-food, bank, pharmacy and other drive-thru related land uses.

Prepare Master Traffic Circulation Plans, Traffic Improvement Development Districts, and conduct Municipal Traffic Planning Reviews.

Present expert witness testimony before municipal planning and zoning boards, county planning commissions, and state superior courts.
